Meridio expands sales drive in Central and Eastern Europe

Meridio has announced the further expansion of its business in Central and Eastern Europe with the appointment of Günter Sandmann, an experienced professional with a successful track record over the last fifteen years in the Enterprise Document and Record Industry. Günter will be based in Freiburg, Germany.

Meridio develops EDRM solutions exclusively for Microsoft platforms and has grown quickly in the last five years with its rapid deployment, enterprise-wide, record management compliance solutions for both the public and private sectors. During the last year Meridio has expanded its business throughout EMEA, US and Asia Pacific working with leading System Integrators in business sectors where enterprise compliance and business improvement through secure document management is essential.

Meridio has many customers in Central and Eastern Europe where there is a growing recognition of the importance of managing documents and records securely at every level of the organization. Meridio's approach of providing this capability at the desktop is now recognized as the most successful way to deliver EDRM functionality.

The appointment of Günter Sandmann as General Manager of the region will provide valuable sales experience to help Meridio customers and partners take full advantage of the business benefits Meridio has delivered elsewhere. Meridio customers include Statoil, ConocoPhillips, Scottish and Southern Energy, INA, MOD, TNT, Cheltenham & Gloucester Building Society and Lloyds TSB Insurance.

Günter Sandmann said "I am proud to be a part of Meridio because the company and the product are far in front of others I have experienced previously and this together with the strong Microsoft relationship is a winning combination. My first task is to strengthen our partner channel with the leading SI companies in Germany and the rest of my territory. We already have world class references – my job is to build Meridio's presence in Germany and other German speaking regions."

Meridio EDRM has been designed on the Microsoft .NET platform, providing the closest available integration with Microsoft Office System. Meridio enables organizations to integrate their existing information sources seamlessly and securely. Users can access the full functionality of the Meridio records management solution via familiar Microsoft tools, maximizing adoption and reducing training overheads.

Andreas Schulz, BDM Enterprise Content Management (ECM) & Portals, Microsoft Deutschland GmbH said, "Enterprise Document and Records Management is an essential technology, for organizations in all sectors, to support both the challenge of legislative compliance and the opportunity for business improvement that can be achieved though sound document life cycle management strategies. Meridio is one of Microsoft's leading global technology partners. We are very pleased to support Meridio as they expand their European operation and look forward to working closely with Günter."
