The Alberta Pensions Administration Corporation implement Meridio
The Alberta Pensions Administration Corporation (APA) is one of the largest public-sector pension administrators in Canada. APA Corporation must retain records for as long as 70 years and, as a result, are required to store millions of documents. They are moving from a paper and microfiche-based information system, which is inefficient, costly and does not include electronic files, to an enterprise wide single system that will provide immediate access to all information – and have the appropriate retention and disposition schedules applied to ensure Legislative compliance.
HP consultants – working with a team from APA Corporation, Microsoft®, and Meridio – designed, configured, and installed an electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) to capture, catalog, file and provide fast access to millions of documents. The HP solution, which includes an HP storage area network (SAN), works hand in glove with the Corporation's proven Microsoft Office environment and its familiar user interface. This facilitates user acceptance, ease of use, and reduced training requirements.
"HP is delivering a total solution, a comprehensive, integrated document management system that meets all our requirements. In the HP solution, Microsoft Office, Meridio, and SharePoint all work
together hand in glove to help us serve our
members and pensioners."
– Janet Finlaison, Chief Information Officer, Alberta Pensions Administration Corporation
