Meridio releases version 4.3

Meridio, announces the launch of an enhanced version of its award-winning eDRM software - Meridio 4.3. Meridio's latest release meets the growing market demand for eDRM software that addresses a key element of regulatory compliance and the management of company documents and records. Building on its current market offering, Meridio has responded to customer needs and market requirements by extending scalability of Meridio to meet the needs of the largest organizations as well as adding new functionality to address rules-based server-side email and instant messaging capture.

Brian Baird, Chief Executive Officer of Meridio, has praised the team involved in working on the new release:

"In the last year our Meridio team has put a considerable amount of effort into listening to our customers and the market. All of the effort has now paid off and version 4.3 now provides an enhanced solution with additional features to enable senior executives responsible for compliance to further meet their goals of regulatory compliance, business efficiency and profitability.

"Our solution offers massive scalability, exceptional usability, proven deployment success and will now be offered as an upgrade option to our existing global customers and as an exciting and competitive new solution for other companies that are considering deploying an eDRM system", Baird added.

Major new features being introduced in Meridio 4.3 include:

* Enterprise Capture – manual or automatic rules-based capture of email and instant messages based on regulatory compliance needs, reducing risk for the organization and making the task of legal discovery easier;

* Selective Replication allows selected documents, records, classes, folders and containers to be automatically synchronized between separate Meridio systems. This makes information more readily available across geographic boundaries and enhances scalability across multiple servers;

* Federated Fileplan allows the user to browse to areas of fileplan (corporate classification scheme) in other Meridio systems, improving efficiency across the organization as a single, larger, virtual system will be available instead of multiple smaller ones;

* Storage Management supports a wide range of resilient storage technologies, providing cost savings and efficiency to the organization.

The Meridio solution delivers comprehensive eDRM capabilities tightly integrated with Microsoft® desktop and server technologies. The addition of Meridio 4.3 positions Meridio as one of the leading eDRM solutions for organizations with a Microsoft platform.

The new business culture of openness and improved governance has increased the responsibility on organizations to report and make available, on request, unstructured business-relevant information that may be scattered throughout the enterprise. This now makes eDRM an essential requirement for all large organizations irrespective of industry sector.

Baird comments:

"Customers view our integration with Microsoft technology as an important feature of the Meridio product. Meridio's proven experience in aiding corporate compliance, while allowing users to easily store, access and share information using the familiar interfaces of Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003, is all part of the attraction of our ability to provide usable and cost-effective solutions to solve business challenges and meet business goals."

Robert Bernard, General Manager, Developer and Platform Evangelism within Microsoft Corp., sees the value that Meridio's new release offers:

"Meridio has continually demonstrated platform and product leadership in the eDRM and ECM worldwide markets as an early adopter of the .NET Framework", said Bernard. With the release of Meridio 4.3. Meridio is deepening its platform support of Microsoft Windows Server System, Microsoft Office System and the .NET Framework provides significant depth and breadth benefits to our customers and industry partners."

Meridio has an extensive track record of working with global organizations from a diverse range of industries and its tried and tested eDRM solution helps these organizations to manage their unstructured data and enable knowledge that was previously scattered throughout the organization to be controlled, secured and shared enterprise-wide, releasing a vast and valuable business asset.
