AUTONOMY TO POWER KNOWLEDGE HUB AT BUPA

Cambridge, England - 17 May, 2005 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AUTN.L), announced today that BUPA, the leading international health and care company, has selected Autonomy to power a Knowledge Management project on the BUPA intranet and external customer-facing website. The technology will collate, manage and deliver information from numerous knowledge sources and repositories, alerting users to pertinent information and enabling BUPA's employees and customers to locate relevant content at the click of a mouse.

Autonomy will help BUPA provide its customers and employees with the latest and most accurate information on a wide range of issues from hospitals and medical information to childcare and travel insurance. Autonomy will enable BUPA to leverage the greatest value from its information sources, by automatically collating and facilitating access to an unlimited number of documents. Autonomy will also help BUPA to store content as a single source and present it in different output medium in the future.

"Unlike many other technology providers, Autonomy is able to understand the conceptual meaning of information, offering a highly sophisticated approach to Knowledge Management for the enterprise. It is the only technology that intelligently recognizes users' interests and delivers the precise piece of information an individual is looking for, fully automatically.", said Charlotte Herbert, Global Marketing Manager Autonomy. "As verified by numerous testimonials from Autonomy's 1000+ customer base, these advanced capabilities help organizations to save considerable time on locating information and result in increased productivity in the enterprise."
