AOL EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH AUTONOMY TO OFFER CUSTOMERS FAST ACCESS TO NEWS AND ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT

Cambridge, England 10 May, 2005 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AUTN.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that AOL has selected Autonomy to power the indexing, categorization and retrieval across multiple content sources. Autonomy's technology will replace the existing retrieval systems, providing AOL's customers with instant access to video, news articles, entertainment pages, shopping tips and classifieds. AOL chose Autonomy after stringent comparison with other retrieval systems.
