Verity Appoints New UK General Manager

WEYBRIDGE, UK - 2005-04-14 - Verity, a leading provider of enterprise software that enables organisations to maximise the return on their intellectual capital investment, announces the appointment of Spencer Young as its new UK general manager.

Based at its new UK headquarters in Weybridge, Surrey, Young is responsible for driving the management and growth of Verity's UK operations, as well as maintaining relationships with Verity's existing customer base. He has over 16 years experience in the IT solutions industry and brings a solid, corporate management background to the company.

"We are delighted to welcome Spencer Young to Verity," says Hugo Sluimer, Verity's senior vice president EMEA & APAC operations. "The UK has always been a major targeted market for Verity outside of the United States and, whilst it remains highly competitive, Spencer has the knowledge and experience to re-affirm Verity as the UK's leading Intellectual Capital Management solutions business".

Prior to joining Verity, Young was regional sales director, northern Europe for Interwoven, where he worked with the senior management team to restore the company to profitability and revenue growth. Young has also held a number of senior sales director and business management roles with IBM, Xerox, Intershop and Canon.

"I am thrilled to be joining such a dynamic and evolving business at a critical time in Verity's growth plans," says Spencer Young. "The UK has a very talented team, which I look forward to working with. Together we will continue to provide real business value to our customers and partners.
