AUNGATE EXTENDS PRODUCT SUITE WITH 'IJEN MODULE' TO POWER FRAUD ANALYSIS & MONEY LAUNDERING DETECTION
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - April 5th, 2005 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE:AU or AUTN:L) today announced that its Aungate division, which has set the de-facto standard for electronic communications management technology powering operations in the world's leading regulators and stock exchanges such as the US SEC and NYSE as well as premier banks and litigation companies, has further extended its Aungate product suite with the addition of the 'Ijen Module' to power fraud analysis and money laundering detection.
Ijen technology was developed by NCorp, a company founded in February 2000 to commercialize technology developed by leading UK Cambridge University researchers in the structured data field. In 2004 NCorp joined the Autonomy group of companies and its powerful Ijen pattern recognition technology - which enables computers to rapidly identify complex patterns in structured data - was integrated into Autonomy's unique Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), the world's No1 technology for automating unstructured information operations. Ijen dynamically builds an intelligent and sophisticated understanding of the underlying meanings, trends and patterns in structured data sets and provides information to aid decision-making and automate intelligent data classification procedures.
