AUNGATE DEMONSTRATES WORLD'S FIRST AUTOMATED COMPLIANCE EMAIL & VOICE MONITORING SOLUTION AT SIA 2005
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - April 4, 2005 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE:AU or AUTN:L) today announced that its Aungate division, which is the world's de-facto standard for electronic communications management technology powering operations in the world's leading regulators and stock exchanges such as the US SEC and NYSE, as well as premier banks and litigation companies, is demonstrating the world's first fully automated real-time email and voice monitoring, review and routing solution at this week's SIA Compliance and Legal Division Seminar. The SIA event takes place at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, Palm Desert, CA, April 3 - 6.
Using a corpus of the Enron data set containing email and telephone recordings, a demonstration of the Aungate email and voice solution will illustrate to SIA attendees how its compliance solution automatically forms an understanding of the content of communications and automates compliance monitoring, risk, litigation and enforcement operations in real-time. Attendees of the SIA event will also hear how customers such as ABN Amro have met global communication compliance objectives.
Founded on Autonomy's world-famous IDOL technology, Aungate's unique total communications management software solution automatically forms an understanding of content such as instant messages, emails, phone calls and rich media, automating tasks such as sampling, detection, discovery, alerting and routing in real time. Speaking of this unique ability, analysts Butler Group say "The Aungate modular product set is a full suite of applications based on the well-proven Autonomy core technology. These modules are designed to monitor, measure, and manage the content of the various communication channels that exist across an organization. There is nothing within the application that would be disruptive of process. On the contrary, the Aungate technology will improve the overall processes within a business by bringing the peripheral elements associated with structured and ad hoc processes under closer control."*1
Ian Black, Managing Director of Aungate said "We remain the world's only compliance solution for the intelligent analysis of the content of text, voice and rich media content in real-time. This delivers to our growing customer base a proposition far beyond basic meta data and tag definitions and one that scales across the entire communication spectrum. While financial compliance continues to dominate the headlines and this solution powerfully automates tasks associated with stringent SEC and NASD email and voice regulations, we are also now meeting enterprise demands to similarly reduce costs while simultaneously increasing transparency in human resource, business intelligence and business performance operations."
