Lucid8 and ZANTAZĀ® Form Technology Agreement to Deliver a True End-to-End System Maintenance and Archiving Solution for Microsoft Exchange Servers
BELLEVUE, WA - February 14, 2005 - Lucid8 LLC, the leading provider of automated, preventative maintenance software for Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, 2000 and 2003, and ZANTAZ, Inc., the global leader in information retention and discovery management solutions, today announced a technology agreement to jointly deliver a true end-to-end maintenance, and email and file management solution for Microsoft Exchange. Together Lucid8 and ZANTAZ will offer their respective customers a comprehensive Exchange archive management and maintenance solution, ensuring uptime, performance and reliability of Microsoft Exchange and the information contained within it.
As part of the agreement, Lucid8 and ZANTAZ will offer GOexchange 3.1 the latest release of automated, preventative maintenance software (see accompanying release) with ZANTAZ Enterprise Archive Solution (EAS) for Exchange to deliver a more complete suite enabling Exchange administrators to conduct data archiving, maintain email and file compliance, and safely run maintenance for Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000 and 2003 environments. GOexchange is proven to remove thousands of hidden, silently accumulating database errors, increase disk space, and rebuild indexes to optimize exchange databases. In addition, GOexchange reduces the Microsoft Exchange storage requirements by 30 to 55 percent, but when combined with ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange, the reduction in storage requirements is in excess of 90 percent.
"Our customers increasingly need more proactive approaches to resolve potential issues with Exchange management and archiving that can hinder their ability to conduct business," said Troy Werelius, president of Lucid8 LLC. "By partnering, Lucid8 and ZANTAZ will deliver an Exchange archive management and maintenance solution that proactively meets their email and file compliance needs, while ensuring database health and optimization are consistently addressed.
GOexchange 3.1 ensures consistent and flawless Exchange system maintenance execution that increases performance and stability, improves productivity and drastically reduces information store size, as well as administration and maintenance time. Among the enhancements to the newest version of GOexchange are a new graphical interface, advanced configuration features, broad scheduling capabilities, centralized scalable management, enhanced network scanning, and support for Veritas Netbackup and Microsoft NTBackup.
ZANTAZ EAS is a scalable, cost-effective email and file management solution for storage optimization, message retention and compliance. With ZANTAZ EAS organizations can create an efficient, searchable archive of email messages and files for Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and NTFS File Systems that assists with the retention, management and control of corporate intelligence. The scalability of its parent-child architecture, along with its robustness and flexibility, results in dramatic storage savings, improved productivity, and the assurance of meeting regulatory and legal requirements for records retention and retrieval. The high performance of both the archival and retrieval processes coupled with the efficiency of the information storage structures and the distributed processing of the parent-child architecture enables ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange to address truly massive information archival requirements.
"By delivering Lucid8's GOexchange solution with ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange, we are able to provide our customers with the ability to prevent disasters, repair problems and accelerate the performance of Microsoft Exchange server while maintaining and highly scalable, easily accessible and compliant archive," said Michael Gaines, Senior Product Marketing Manager, ZANTAZ. "By partnering to deliver our best-of-breed products, we will be able to provide customers as much as a 90 percent reduction in email storage requirements, as well as significant savings in time and resources."
