ZANTAZ® Names Steven Klei As the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration
Seasoned Industry Veteran Brings Strong Financial and Operational Expertise to ZANTAZ
PLEASANTON, CA (November 2, 2004) - ZANTAZ, Inc., a global leader in digital archiving, compliance, and discovery management solutions, today announced the appointment of Steven Klei as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration. Klei will play a critical role at ZANTAZ, leading all aspects of the company's finance, legal, human resources, investor relations and administration activities.
"Having led the financial operations and developed the strategic financial direction of ProBusiness Services, Inc., Steven brings strong financial and operational skills that will complement ZANTAZ' executive management team," said Steve King, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZANTAZ. "Steven's appointment further enables us to build on our continued success and strategy for profitable growth."
Klei, who has more than 20 years of experience, was most recently chief financial officer for publicly held ProBusiness Services, Inc., where he was responsible for numerous aspects of the company's financial and administrative operations, including finance, legal, employee services and information technology. During his eight-year tenure, ProBusiness grew from $7 million in revenues and 90 employees to over $170 million in revenues and 1,400 employees. Klei was instrumental in leading the efforts to take the company public in 1997, its successful secondary offering in 1998, and the sale of the company to ADP in 2003.
"Today, ZANTAZ has a world-class management team, proven technology, momentum and vision to capitalize on a tremendous market opportunity," said Klei. "I had the unique opportunity of helping to take ProBusiness from a local start-up to a nationwide, public corporation, and I look forward to leveraging that experience at ZANTAZ."
Prior to joining ProBusiness, Klei served as Corporate Controller at Esprit De Corp. He began his career at Ernst & Young. Klei earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and is a certified public accountant.
