Meridio closes $8.4 M investment with Polaris Venture Partners

Meridio expansion of US operation backed with new investment from Polaris Venture Partners.

Polaris's investment follows a very successful period of growth for Meridio and will support the expansion of Meridio's US operation. In July Meridio added US JITC DoD 5015.2 certification to its list of achievements in recent months. The latest release of Meridio, Meridio 4.2, has been designed to integrate transparently with Microsoft Office System enabling organizations to leverage their Microsoft investments and ease their corporate compliance efforts across the enterprise. The DoD certification along with a complementary DoD 5015.2 certification for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server (paired with Meridio ERM) confirms the strength of Meridio as a leading supplier to government and other large organizations worldwide. Conformance to DoD 5015.2 is a requirement for any ERM product purchased by US Department of Defense and it is also becoming the de-facto standard for commercial organizations. Meridio customers include Statoil, ConocoPhillips, TNT, Cheltenham & Gloucester Building Society and Lloyds TSB Insurance.

Brian Baird, CEO of Meridio said "The backing by Polaris is a reflection of the strength of the Meridio products and of the potential of the company. Polaris has invested in, and helped to build, some of the most successful US enterprise software companies such as Powersoft, Allaire, Akamai, and SolidWorks. Meridio is completely focused on being the EDRM solution of choice for organizations using the Microsoft platform and we are convinced that our success will now be accelerated with the backing of Polaris."

Meridio EDRM has been designed on the Microsoft .NET platform, providing the closest available integration with Microsoft Office System. Meridio enables organizations to integrate their existing information sources seamlessly and securely. Users can access the full functionality of the Meridio records management solution via familiar Microsoft tools, maximizing adoption and reducing training overheads.
