Nissan Motor Selects Verity K2 Enterprise for its Intranet and Global Websites

SUNNYVALE, Calif - 2004-09-28 - Verity Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of enterprise software that enables organizations to maximize the return on their intellectual capital investment, today announced that Nissan Motor Company, a leading manufacturer of automotive products and services, has selected Verity® K2 Enterprise (K2E) advanced search, classification and personalization software to manage information across its intranet and several of the company's external portals.

Verity K2E will enable global employees of Nissan and visitors to its websites to find the right information quickly and effectively. The company also plans to leverage Verity's advanced Asian and European Locales to allow users to find the exact document that they are looking for in their local language. Verity was chosen following an extensive selection process because of its market-leading position and the robustness of the Verity K2E product.
