BT Global Services and Verity Enter Reseller Agreement
SUNNYVALE, Calif - 2004-08-17 - Verity Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of enterprise software that enables organizations to maximize the return on their intellectual capital investment, today announced that it has signed a reseller agreement with BT Global Services, BT's international business services and solutions division.
The deal allows BT to resell Verity® K2 Enterprise (K2E) advanced search, classification and personalization software, and Verity® Ultraseek®, powerful, downloadable enterprise search software, to BT customers either individually or as part of a broader application package. The agreement covers the UK and continental Europe.
As an information and communications technology (ICT) provider, BT Global Services offers integrated data and value-added services to meet the needs of multi-site organizations with European operations. Verity software is also being used to search, categorize and personalize information on BT's corporate intranet.
"We aim to partner with companies that provide the most scaleable, comprehensive and cost effective software in every category. BT has worked with Verity for over two years. We have a lot of experience with its products and regard it as a leader in its field. Bringing Verity on board through this reseller agreement will add significant value to our customers and our portfolio," says Marcus Saul, product manager, intranet applications at BT Global Services.
"One of the advantages that BT Global Services brings to customers is a unified approach to ICT, focused on providing customers with the best solutions and services to meet their needs," says Simon Atkinson, UK managing director for Verity GB Ltd. "We are excited about working more closely with BT to broaden our relationship.
