Office Solution Accelerator

Meridio announces Support for the Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley

Meridio to extend the value of accelerator by offering Enterprise Document and Records Management (EDRM) capability in a .NET framework, allowing organizations to begin behaving in a compliant manner.

Meridio Ltd, a global Enterprise Document and Records Management (EDRM) company, today announces support for the Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley. Meridio 4, which provides complete support for SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and the Microsoft Office System, exclusively on the Microsoft .NET platform, extends the functionality of Microsoft Corp's accelerator by offering world-class records management, compliance (DoD5015.2, PRO2, MoReq), email management/archive and massively scaleable document-management solutions. Using Meridio and the Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley, organizations can leverage their existing Microsoft investments to ease their corporate compliance efforts.

"Meridio is excited about working with the Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley and offering our Electronic Document and Records Management (EDRM) solution to Microsoft customers. As a pure Microsoft technology partner, Meridio feels uniquely positioned to extend the value of the accelerator and help customers to meet Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements by offering an additional compliance layer to the Microsoft technology stack - The Microsoft Compliance Desktop." said Brian Baird, CEO Meriidio.

The Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley is designed to help publicly traded companies more easily manage their internal financial controls and meet compliance requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Using the accelerator, partners can readily build custom solutions that make it easy for an individual, division or entire corporation to access and manage needed information to comply with the Act.

The Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley extends the value of existing software investments by building on the Microsoft Office System products that many companies have already deployed. As a result, compliance solutions based on the accelerator are easy to use and administer and are fully compatible with other Microsoft products. Optimized around the most common control methodologies, the accelerator is easy to deploy, flexible and extensible - helping companies of all sizes meet longer-term compliance objectives as well as near-term Sarbanes-Oxley needs.

"Microsoft is pleased to work with industry partners like Meridio to further extend the value of the Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley for customers," said Peter Rinearson, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Information Worker New Markets division. "Meridio's accelerator-based solution provides an additional infrastructure component to help facilitate organizations compliance efforts, and we're thrilled to include the company in our launch today."

The integration between the Office Solution Accelerator for Sarbanes-Oxley and the EDRM compliance features of the Meridio platform is seamless to the user and provides key functions such as document and object-level security through the SharePoint user experience. Implementing Meridio, organizations can be sure that the information used to compile and contribute to the Sarbanes-Oxley reporting process is accurate, secure and meets international records management standards such as DoD 5015.2 and PRO.
