SUNNYVALE, Calif - 2004-06-14 - Verity Inc. ExplorerPlus software is a suite of integrated desktop tools that lets users organize and manage folders, files, documents, digital photos, MP3 music files, Web pages and other content on the hard drives of their personal computers with ease and efficiency. "Verity KeyView Viewing SDK was selected over the competition, because it is solid technology from a company that works with us as a strategic partner. In addition, the KeyView SDK was easy to work with and use, which saved us a great deal of time in the implementation process," said Mike Kronenberg, Novatix's president.
Verity KeyView Viewing SDK lets developers like Novatix add WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) capabilities to their applications for viewing and printing of all popular word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphic, multimedia, compression and encoding formats. KeyView Viewing SDK allows the viewing and printing of multiple file formats, without requiring licenses and installation of multiple applications associated with the files types. For example, a student can view and print a relevant research document in WordPerfect, without having the WordPerfect® Office application on her system.
ExplorerPlus gives PC users the ability to find information, synchronize files and, with the integration of KeyView Viewing, see what a given document or file contains. "An abstract of a file is not enough for most users," Kronenberg said. "Verity KeyView supports thumbnail views of documents, providing a very handy preview. Consistently, our customers tell us the ease and versatility of the ExplorerPlus' viewing capabilities is its most important feature."
Along with users of the software, editors of two of the leading personal computing magazines recently recognized the Verity KeyView-equipped ExplorerPlus for outstanding performance, usefulness and simplicity. PC Magazine presented the Novatix product with an "Editors' Choice Award" among desktop file managers. PC World also recognized ExplorerPlus with its "World Class Award" for Best Stand-Alone Utility.
