Xythos Chooses Dralasoft Workflow for Combined Document/Workflow Management Solution

Dralasoft Workflow is Bundled With Xythos' WebFile Product Line; Solution Addresses Growing Enterprise Need for Managing Routing/Review of File-Based Information

WESTMINSTER, CO - 2004-05-13 - Dralasoft, Inc., a leading innovator of Java(TM) technology for Business Process Management (BPM), today announced that Xythos Software, a leading developer of simple document and file management software, has chosen to partner with Dralasoft to provide integrated workflow/document management solutions for enterprise use. The solutions will provide a powerful new way for organizations to easily access, distribute, route, process, and review documents and other file-based information according to the user's pre-set rules and standards.

Xythos has customized Dralasoft Workflow, Dralasoft's flagship BPM product, for use with its WebFile family of products. Both Xythos and Dralasoft use open standards, ensuring easy implementation of their products within existing enterprise environments. The new solutions will leverage a full range of Xythos/Dralasoft applications including Xythos WebFile Server (WFS) and Client Technology; WebFile Document Manager, WebFile Classification Manager, and WebFile Records Manager; WebFile Client and WebFile Scan Client; as well as Dralasoft Workflow Engine, Workflow Manager, and Workflow Studio.

"The growing need to better manage documents and files within a broad range of business processes is forcing organizations to seek more automated methods," stated Ed Miller, CEO of Xythos. "The combined strengths of Xythos and Dralasoft can provide this capability reliably and cost effectively."

"Xythos provides a secure platform which can support a broad variety of workflow processes," said Suresh Ramaswamy, President and Chief Technical Officer of Dralasoft, Inc. "We believe these new solutions will help customers improve their efficiency and ability to better comply with industry regulations."

Xythos WebFile Server and Dralasoft Workflow Engine both represent the new class of Java- based middleware designed using today's Internet standards such as WebDAV and XML. The products, which provide the flexibility and scalability required in widely distributed organizations, have already been deployed together at several major customers including Rockefeller University and Time Inc.

At Rockefeller University Hospital, a Xythos/Dralasoft solution will be used to help automate pipelines of research documents through the hospital's investigative review board, helping to secure and automate review processes between both internal and external participants.
