Verity CEO and CFO to Present at Thomas Weisel Partners Tech 2004 Conference

SUNNYVALE, Calif - 2004-01-29 - Verity Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of enterprise software that helps organizations maximize the return on their intellectual capital investment, today announced that Anthony J. Bettencourt, its president and chief executive officer and Steven R. Springsteel, the senior vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer, will present an overview of the company's financial performance as well as its outlook for market in which it competes at the Thomas Weisel Partners Tech 2004 Conference. The presentation will take place at 10:20 a.m. Pacific Time (1:20 p.m. Eastern Time) on February 4, 2004 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, California. A simultaneous Webcast of the presentation will be available.
