ZANTAZĀ® Promotes Key Team Member to Drive Continued Growth, Profitability

Roger Erickson and Sanjay Mehta Promoted to Expand Infrastructure, Streamline Services and Accelerate Product Development

PLEASANTON, CA (January 20, 2004) - ZANTAZ, Inc., the leader in compliance and electronic discovery solutions, today announced the promotions of Roger Erickson to Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions and Services and Sanjay Mehta to Vice President of Product Development. ZANTAZ made the announcement following a year of record growth, in which the company doubled its customer base and grew revenue by nearly 300 percent year over year.

"These promotions are a testament to the strong leadership team we've built at ZANTAZ, and will be instrumental in helping us deliver the highest quality solutions and customer services during a time of rapid expansion," said Steve King, President and CEO of ZANTAZ, Inc. "Roger and Sanjay each personify the experience, expertise and passion that sets ZANTAZ apart as the industry pioneer and leader."

Erickson has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions & Services and will be responsible for all aspects of service delivery to ZANTAZ customers. Erickson sets overall technology strategy for the company including expanding and enhancing ZANTAZ core products, developing and launching new products and ensuring integration across all product lines.

Erickson will now also lead operations, overseeing the company's data centers, labs and other facilities, technical support groups, system reliability, customer satisfaction and IT infrastructure. Over the course of his three years at ZANTAZ, Erickson has been instrumental in closely aligning ZANTAZ' use of technology with the company's business goals and processes, improving staff productivity and helping to ensure the company's continued revenue growth and profitability.

As Vice President of Product Development, Mehta will be responsible for managing the design, development and release of all ZANTAZ products and services, including the ZANTAZ Digital Safeā„¢ service, the industry's leading digital archiving solution which was recently selected by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) as a finalist in the 19th annual Codie Awards. In addition, Mehta will be responsible for all related compliance and electronic discovery applications.Mehta has been instrumental in driving the performance, scalability and reliability of the Digital Safe archiving service for the past four years, resulting in a solution that currently holds billions of messages with attachments, while growing at a rate of over 40% per quarter. He has also played a critical role in developing the company's highly scalable data restoration service from concept to a major revenue producing business with thousands of tapes being processed every month.

The promotions come on the heels of new financing for ZANTAZ, which resulted in $20 million of funding from General Atlantic Partners, LLC and existing investors.
