Top Technology Trade Association Selects ZANTAZĀ® Digital Safeā„¢ Service as the Finalist for 2004 Codie Awards

SIIA Chooses Digital Safe Service as Finalist in Best Application Service Solution Category

PLEASANTON, CA (January 7, 2004) - ZANTAZ, Inc., the leader in compliance and electronic discovery solutions, today announced that its Digital Safeā„¢ service, the industry's leading digital archiving solution, was selected by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) as a finalist in the 19th annual Codie Awards. The Digital Safe service was nominated for the Best Application Service Solution category.

"In light of the intense competition this year, to be named a Codie Awards finalist is a tremendous honor and an important achievement. SIIA is proud to recognize these companies as true leaders in their fields," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President.

The Codie Awards showcase the software and digital content industry's most robust products and services. The Codie Awards is the only peer-recognition awards program of its kind in the industry. Finalists are judged in two extensive rounds of reviews-first by representatives from the software trade press, mainstream technology writers and experts in education technology, and finally by voting members of SIIA, the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. Winners of the 2004 Codie Awards will be announced at a formal ceremony on Tuesday, May 18 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. A full list of 2004 finalists can be found at www.siia.net/codies2004/finalists.asp.

"To be selected as a finalist for the Best Application Service Solution is a significant achievement and a testament to the quality of our solutions," said Craig Olson, Vice President of Marketing for ZANTAZ.

The Digital Safe service is an outsourced, purpose-built compliance solution designed to meet the requirements of SEC Rule 17a-4. The service allows for the immediate, real-time capture of large volumes of email, attachments, instant messages and other electronic documents and correspondence, their secure storage for periods ranging from months to decades, and their rapid retrieval. Compatible with all major email systems, the Digital Safe service can be deployed quickly and cost-effectively. Since the service is built on a high level of redundancy, the ZANTAZ Digital Safe service ensures complete security and reliability for customers while meeting significant business, legal and regulatory requirements.
