Cardiff TELEform® Gets Clearance From Defence Vetting Agency (DVA)

Market leading information capture solution improves the accuracy and efficiency of security clearance

Brentford, England - 2003-12-09 - Cardiff Software Ltd., a leading global provider of document capture and eForm solutions for the enterprise, today announced that the DVA has selected Cardiff TELEform® to automate over 140,000 security check and clearance forms a year. The solution will enable the DVA to improve the speed that it processes security clearance forms and reduce the costs associated with manual data entry.

Since 1997, the DVA has been involved in an ambitious modernisation programme that has seen the introduction of new vetting processes. Deploying proven information technology has been central to this modernisation. The DVA identified the need to improve the efficiency and throughput of their vetting forms while also embracing electronic forms.

DVA selected Cardiff TELEform due to Cardiff's track record in delivering cost savings and efficiency gains to a number of organisations similar to the DVA. TELEform's ability to integrate with the DVA's Warrantor II database tool was also key to the organisation's decision.

"Cardiff TELEform will enable us to reduce the costs associated with the processing of security vetting forms and speed turnaround times on these forms significantly," said Michael Wilson, CEO at DVA. "TELEform's ability to scale to the changing requirements of the business and overcome technical, security and confidentiality issues associated with electronic forms were key factors in our decision to purchase this solution."

The DVA has identified 5 forms, ranging from 10 to 41 pages in length that will initially be automated. These paper forms will be scanned. Electronic copies of these forms will also be deployed on the DVA's intranet and secure Internet. The data from these forms will be automatically verified by TELEform and committed to Warrantor II.

Tim Dubes vice president EMEA sales said, "We are delighted to have been the clear choice over the competition in this large implementation. Cardiff's open standards functionality and our experience delivering information capture projects to organisations like the DVA will ensure its goals are fully met and that it reaps the maximum benefit from this investment."
