Texas Department of Transportation Selects Cardiff Solution to Automate Processes and Reduce Costs

Cardiff LiquidOffice™ to bring state agency's paper processes online; LiquidOffice Connect Agent for FileNet® to allow instant electronic retention and retrieval of completed forms

San Diego, CA - 2003-09-15 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of data capture and eForm solutions for the enterprise, today announced that its LiquidOffice™ eForm automation solution has been selected by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to streamline the submission and processing of internal and external forms for 14,000 employees within its approximately fifty state-wide business organizations.

TxDOT will also take advantage of the LiquidOffice Connect Agent for FileNet® Content Services to export completed forms, attachments and index values into its existing FileNet application for instant electronic retention and retrieval. In addition to form process automation and integration with FileNet, LiquidOffice will enable TxDOT to significantly reduce data entry costs by transferring data to and from forms and other computer applications, such as those that involve human resources and finance.

Initially, TxDOT will convert its existing internal and external electronically-enabled forms into the LiquidOffice format and then will move them into LiquidOffice's central repository. The powerful Form Designer in LiquidOffice provides TxDOT with a drag-and-drop application that combines an intuitive, easy-to-use interface with powerful design tools, such as "snap-to" guides and comprehensive field setups.

As existing forms are converted into LiquidOffice, TxDOT will enable users of external and internal forms to submit official forms online via a standard Web browser. TxDOT expects to reduce the processing time of their official forms with the implementation of the LiquidOffice suite of products. In addition to reducing the time required to process and approve agency forms, TxDOT will also be able to centrally manage the processes with greater efficiency.
