Autonomy to Present at Forbes/Andrews Corporate Compliance & Executive Planning Conference

San Francisco, Calif., September 2, 2003 - Autonomy Corporation plc (NASDAQ: AUTN; LSE: AU., Nasdaq Europe:AUTN), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it will be hosting a panel discussion entitled "Facilitating Compliance Through Automated Information Management" featuring experts from AMR Research, Autonomy and leading law firm Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, at the upcoming Forbes/Andrews Corporate Compliance & Executive Planning Conference, September 4, at 10:45 a.m., in Washington D.C.

The panelists for the discussion will be John Hagerty, vice president, AMR Research; Bob Moore, managing director of Aungate, a division of Autonomy offering the world's first automated solution for enterprise compliance and litigation support; and Joseph T. McLaughlin, Chairman of Heller Ehrman's New York office and former Executive Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Credit Suisse First Boston. The moderator of the panel will be Sean Sullivan, vice president, Autonomy.

The recent corporate scandals involving fraudulent accounting and conflicts of interest within financial services institutions have shown a spotlight on the significance of internal corporate communications. As enterprises struggle to grasp the overwhelming volume of electronic communications generated by their workforce, executives are looking to new developments in technology to manage the information and minimize risk.

Autonomy will discuss and demonstrate how Aungate analyzes and understands emails, voicemails and instant messages in real time. The other panelists will discuss what steps an organization needs to take to meet new industry compliance regulations, as well as how to automatically monitor electronic communications and deploy compliance solutions that meet regulatory requirements to decrease liability.

The Forbes/Andrews Corporate Compliance & Executive Planning Conference will be held September 3-4 at the Capital Hill Hotel in Washington D.C. For more information about the conference, visit www.forbes.com/conf/corporatecompliance.
