Verity Names Brian R. Bennett Vice President of Channel Sales
Industry Veteran to Expand Strategic Alliances and OEM Market Share
SUNNYVALE, Calif - 2003-08-19 - Verity Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of enterprise software that helps organizations maximize the return on their intellectual capital investment, today announced the appointment of Brian R. Bennett as vice president of channel sales.
Bennett will report to Michael D. Mooney, Verity's senior vice president of field sales operations in the Americas and worldwide business development. He will focus on expanding and developing Verity's worldwide strategic business alliances, as well as growing OEM and indirect channels' revenue.
Commenting on Bennett's appointment, Mooney said, "Brian brings to Verity 20 years of highly relevant experience in indirect channel sales and OEM technology licensing. More importantly, he brings an impressive track record of business development accomplishments to our team. We are pleased and excited to have him as a member of the Verity sales organization."
Prior to joining Verity, Bennett was vice president, channels and business development at Elance, a services procurement and management software company. Before that, he served as vice president of business development and indirect channels at E.piphany, a CRM software firm. Previously, Bennett worked at Netscape as senior director of OEM sales and technology licensing. He held a similar post at Silicon Graphics earlier in his career.
