Key Executives in Professional Services, Marketing, Development and Technical Services Strengthen Management Team
SUNNYVALE, Calif - 2003-06-25 - Verity Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of enterprise software that enables organizations to maximize the return on their intellectual capital investment, today announced the promotion of four key executives.
Sunil D. Nagdev was promoted to senior vice president of professional services. Andrew D. Feit was promoted to senior vice president of marketing. Gregory O. McCane was promoted to vice president of engineering, Verity Canada Ltd., and Bruce A. Bordelon was promoted to vice president, North America technical services.
"All four of these individuals have made significant contributions to Verity's growth and success over an extended period of time," said Anthony J. Bettencourt, Verity's president and CEO. "Their appointments are acknowledgements of their efforts and, more important, are a sign of the growing strength of the company's management team."
Nagdev will continue to be responsible for Verity's worldwide professional services organization, which provides customers with a wide range of consulting services, including needs assessment, project management, design integration and custom development, as well as training classes and technical support to optimize customers' applications. Nagdev had been vice president of professional services.
Feit will manage all of Verity's worldwide marketing activities. He will be responsible for the company's marketing strategy and positioning of Verity's product lines, including Verity K2 and Verity Ultraseek software. Feit joined Verity as vice president of product marketing with the acquisition of Inktomi's enterprise search business where he directed its marketing activities.
McCane will be responsible for product development activities for Verity Canada, Ltd., where he will oversee engineering for the KeyView product line, as well as various components of the K2 products. McCane had served as director of development for Verity's Calgary, Canada operation.
Bordelon will continue to be in charge of Verity's pre-sales technical services organization, which assists customers in the evaluation, configuration, and deployment of Verity products, to ensure the success of their applications. Bordelon was director, North America technical services, prior to his promotion.
Nagdev and Feit continue to report to Bettencourt. Bordelon continues to report to Michael D. Mooney, Verity's senior vice president of field sales operations in the Americas. McCane continues to report to Dr. Ashok K. Chandra, Verity's senior vice president of development and new business activities.
