Cardiff Software Announces Availability of LiquidOffice™ Connect Agents for IBM Content Manager
Integration between Cardiff's eForm automation solution and IBM's Content Manager for Multiplatforms V8.2 and for iSeries V5R1 to be demonstrated at IBM content management conference
San Diego, CA - 2003-06-03 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced the general availability of two Cardiff LiquidOffice™ Connect Agents for IBMÆ Content Manager for Multiplatforms V8.2 and for iSeries™ V5R1. The Connect Agents enable LiquidOffice eForms to be automatically sent to IBM Content Manager systems for archival or additional workflow processing.
The Connect Agents were developed by ImageTech Systems Inc. using LiquidOffice's Connect Agent API. A certified Cardiff reseller and IBM Business Partner, ImageTech will be demonstrating the integrated solution at IBM's Content Management & WebSphere Portal Technical Conference (booth #311) to be held in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., from June 9 - 11, 2003. ImageTech is a full-service content management solution provider and EDMS systems integrator specializing in solutions built around IBM's DB2 Enterprise Content Management portfolio of products.
Customers and resellers of IBM Content Manager can now use these two new Connect Agents to seamlessly integrate IBM's popular content management platforms with Cardiff's proven LiquidOffice eForm automation solution. The integrated solution allows customers to create, deploy and automatically manage the routing, tracking and approval processes for electronic forms using LiquidOffice, and then automatically transmit the completed forms into IBM Content Manager systems for instant archival and retrieval.

The new Connect Agents enable LiquidOffice users to export completed HTML and PDF forms and related attachments into IBM Content Manager systems. LiquidOffice forms exported into IBM Content Manager's centralized document repository are indexed and archived in PDF format along with any attachments in their native format. Once archived, authorized users across the enterprise can easily conduct sophisticated searches to retrieve a requested form.
Additionally, the Connect Agent for IBM Content Manager for Multiplatforms enables customers to take advantage of existing workflow processes. The integrated solution provides an option for LiquidOffice to release electronic forms directly into an established IBM Content Manager for Multiplatforms workflow. This capability eliminates an added, potentially redundant workflow, while still leveraging LiquidOffice's powerful intelligent eForm features. These features include real-time database validation and calculations to help eliminate errors and an Auto-Fill capability, which minimizes the amount of data needed to be entered by pre-populating form fields with information obtained from automatic database look-ups. ImageTech will be adding similar workflow support into a forthcoming version of the LiquidOffice Connect Agent for IBM Content Manager for iSeries.

The LiquidOffice Connect Agents for IBM Content Manager for Multiplatforms and for iSeries are available from Cardiff Software (800-659-8755) and ImageTech Systems (717-697-0329). The agents require Cardiff LiquidOffice v2.1 or later and support IBM Content Manager for Multiplatforms V8.1/V8.2 and IBM Content Manager for iSeries V5R1.
