CNSI and Autonomy Partner to Help Government and Enterprise Clients Reduce Costs Through Effective Information Management
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - May 12, 2003 - Autonomy Corporation plc (Nasdaq: AUTN; LSE: AU., Nasdaq Europe: AUTN), a leading provider of infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced an agreement with CNSI, a premier IT innovations provider to government agencies and businesses worldwide, to provide enterprises with effective and intelligent information management and delivery systems. The alliance will draw on the complementary expertise of both companies to help clients realize greater business value and reduce costs of handling increasing amounts of information. The two companies will deliver their first joint solution for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
"Organizations in nearly all industries face the challenge of acquiring, processing and distributing information across the enterprise," said Bruce Adams, Sr. Vice President, CNSI. "As the growth of unstructured information continues, the ability to automatically and cost-effectively deliver it where it is immediately needed becomes more complicated. With Autonomy's infrastructure technology, we can implement solutions that allow our clients to capture, use and derive real business benefits from disparate data sources."
"Collaboration with exceptional partners is at the core of Autonomy's success, and we are excited to form this partnership with CNSI," said Richard Gaunt, chief technology officer and co-founder, Autonomy. "As an organization with a reputation for delivering measurable results for federal and state agencies, CNSI is an ideal partner for Autonomy. Autonomy and CNSI are committed to working together to help clients leverage their intellectual assets and realize the highest return on their technology investments."
Autonomy's unique Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) integrates unstructured, semi-structured and structured information from multiple repositories through an understanding of their content. Autonomy grants enterprises the flexibility to use advanced information retrieval or legacy-based approaches. At the heart of Autonomy's software is its ability to process text, voice and video and identify and rank the main concepts within them. It then automatically categorizes, links, summarizes, personalizes and delivers that information. Autonomy's technology also drives collaboration across the enterprise and enables organizations to effectively leverage expertise. Autonomy's infrastructure technology is used to automate operations within enterprise information portals, customer relationship management, knowledge management, business intelligence and e-business applications, among others.
