Virage Announces Support For IBM WebSphere Platform
LAS VEGAS - April 7, 2003 - Virage, Inc. [NASDAQ: VRGE], an IBM Business Partner, today announced that the latest release of its webcasting application will support the IBM WebSphere® Application Server. Virage's VS Webcasting™ application is the first enterprise software solution that enables organizations to manage the entire webcasting workflow from a simple and intuitive Web interface. The IBM WebSphere Application Server is a high-performance and extremely scalable transaction engine for dynamic e-business applications based on the Java™ 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) standard.

Announced today at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2003 Conference, VS Webcasting 3.0 is the first enterprise webcasting software on the market to support the IBM WebSphere Application Server. VS Webcasting 3.0 is a fully load-balanced and fail-over protected application, providing the level of scalability and reliability required by global corporations. The new version supports thousands of concurrent live and on-demand viewers as well as multiple simultaneous live events.
