Cardiff LiquidOffice™ Selected by Albany County to Automate the Processing of Official Forms
New York's historic capital uses LiquidOffice to streamline the submission, processing and approval of government forms
San Diego, CA - 2003-01-13 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced that its LiquidOffice™ eForm automation solution has been selected by Albany County to automate form-driven processes across more than 30 departments and offices in Albany, New York. LiquidOffice will be used to automate the way Albany County's internal and public-facing forms are submitted, processed and routed for approval.
Albany County will take advantage of LiquidOffice's Web-based interface and open architecture to quickly capture, process and respond to pertinent information submitted internally and externally via easy-to-use, online forms. LiquidOffice will give Albany County the ability to easily publish interactive forms online, providing the public and their employees with around-the-clock access, even from remote locations. In addition to providing an online interface for submitting forms, LiquidOffice enables organizations to significantly reduce data entry costs through its ability to transfer form data directly into any applicable database.
"Cardiff LiquidOffice was selected for its ability to effectively reduce the time, effort and expense associated with the manual processing of official forms," said Mark Dorry, chief information officer at Albany County. "We are planning an implementation that will enable us to standardize processes across more than 30 departments and devote more time to serving our constituents."
The scalability and high performance of LiquidOffice will provide Albany County with a solid foundation for automating all their business-critical form-driven processes. Cardiff's open systems approach provides them with the flexibility to take advantage of new technologies while still leveraging their investments in existing systems. The LiquidOffice solution was selected following a formal review of several competitive offerings including those from Adobe Systems Incorporated and Shana Corporation.
LiquidOffice also supports intelligent routing, tracking and secure digital approval, so entire processes can be managed online and forms can be automatically routed for approval. This will significantly reduce the amount of time and expense it currently takes to process and approve forms by reducing data entry requirements and eliminating the need for end users to print, fill out and mail back forms. Additional benefits experienced by organizations migrating to LiquidOffice include streamlining internal operational processes; accelerating delivery of data and documents to backend systems; reducing administrative costs; and eliminating data errors with business rules processing.
"Government organizations are continually faced with budget reductions, shortfalls and deficits and can realize significant cost savings by moving from the manual processing of forms to a solution that will transform their static, legacy forms to intelligent eForms," said Dan Shirra, Cardiff's vice president of worldwide marketing. "The LiquidOffice eForm automation solution provides online routing, tracking and approvals of forms, custom workflows with role-based security and digital signature capability, therefore increasing productivity, efficiency and profitability."
