Cardiff Recognized by Open Text™ as Technology Partner of the Year

Open Text honors Cardiff Software at Live Linkup 2002; Distinction based on longstanding relationship and quality, adoption and customer satisfaction of integrated solutions

San Diego, CA - 2002-11-18 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced it has been selected as 'Technology Partner of the Year' by Open Text™ Corporation (Nasdaq: OTEX, TSX: OTC), provider of Livelink®, the leading collaboration and knowledge management software for the global enterprise. An Open Text partner since 1997, Cardiff was honored with this singular distinction on November 5 at Open Text's LiveLinkUp 2002 conference in Chicago. The selection of Cardiff was based on its successful, longstanding relationship with Open Text and its investment and commitment to supporting Livelink with innovative eForm and document capture solutions. Additional criteria included high customer satisfaction with Cardiff's solutions and their widespread adoption by Livelink customers.

Open Text currently features Cardiff's technology in the Livelink PDF Forms Professional solution, which enables users to create, manage and track electronic forms. Fully integrating with Livelink's collaboration and knowledge management functionality, Cardiff's technology enables point-and-click PDF form template design, data verification and lookups, and paper form and document capture capabilities. PDF Forms Professional is a widely popular and successful add-on module for Livelink.

Further strengthening its partnership with Cardiff Software, Open Text announced on November 6th that it will be releasing a new, enhanced eForms solution based on Cardiff's LiquidOffice™ Data Collection Edition. This new solution, Livelink eForms Management, extends the current form capabilities of Livelink offered through PDF Professional by incorporating powerful features from Cardiff's flagship eForm automation solution, LiquidOffice. Using LiquidOffice Data Collection Edition technology, users will be able to easily create highly complex PDF, HTML or XML form templates. Additionally, Livelink's workflows can automate the use of those forms and maintain forms with other documents and content in Livelink as part of a company's knowledge repository.

"Choosing Cardiff as Technology Partner of the Year was not a difficult decision - their commitment to excellence in their product lines and partner relationships made them a solid choice," said Bill Forquer, senior vice president of business development at Open Text. "Cardiff's eForm automation and document capture solutions have brought significant and proven value to our customers, and their use of open standards has made their integration with Livelink a painless process."
