Canon (UK) Limited on Top Form with Cardiff Partnership

London and Brentford, UK - 2002-10-28 - Canon (UK) Limited, a leader in digital imaging technology, and Cardiff Software Limited, a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, have announced a UK partnership to add Cardiff's award-winning TELEform™ data capture solution to Canon's existing range of document management solutions. The partnership will make Canon (UK) Limited one of the largest Cardiff TELEform partners in the United Kingdom.

This new joint venture is set to propel the use of data and document capture solutions within medium to large enterprises. Cardiff Software's TELEform Information Capture System enables businesses and government organisations to quickly and easily capture and convert data, from paper-based and electronic forms, into a central database.

Canon (UK) Limited offers two Cardiff TELEform packages; Cardiff TELEform Elite, a departmental workstation solution designed specifically to meet the needs of project orientated requirements, and Cardiff TELEform Enterprise, a scalable network solution designed to meet the demands of distributed high volume form and document capture environments, including remote capture facilities.

Electronically processing forms significantly reduces the time and operating expenses associated with manual data entry, therefore, freeing up resources for other crucial projects. Additionally, the quality of data is greatly improved as Cardiff TELEform automatically cleans and verifies data at the point of capture, which accelerates processing time and increases productivity.

Glen Mason, Product Manager, Canon (UK) Limited comments, "Cardiff TELEform is an important addition to Canon (UK) Limited's product portfolio and seamlessly integrates with ScanFile 2002, Canon (UK) Limited's established document management solution. Organisations that traditionally relied upon manual data entry will benefit from significant cost and time savings with improved data quality, which Cardiff TELEform provides."

Glen continues, "Canon (UK) Limited is now a fully certified Cardiff TELEform channel partner, capable of supporting the sale of Cardiff TELEform products and services across the UK. Canon is renowned for its service capabilities and prides itself on sustaining the high levels of after-sales support provided by the in-house service team. Cardiff TELEform will be maintained by Canon (UK) Limited's dedicated team of Document Management Specialists."

Helge Rognstad, EMEA Marketing Manager, Cardiff Ltd comments; "Canon (UK) Limited's range of high quality scanning equipment and expertise in the document management field, together with Cardiff's market-leading TELEform Data Capture technology, makes this joint venture set to become one of our most important and lucrative document management partnerships."

Cardiff TELEform is used around the world by thousands of financial, healthcare and government institutions, which have benefited from drastically reduced forms processing and data entry costs.

Cardiff TELEform is available from 28th October from Canon (UK) Limited. Further information can be obtained by telephoning 01737 220329 or visiting Canon's website.
