Autonomy Announces Expanded OEM Relationship With CoreChange
Enterprise Portal Framework Provider Continues to Resell and Embed Autonomy's Infrastructure Technology
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.-September 30, 2002 - Autonomy Corporation plc (Nasdaq: AUTN; LSE: AU; Nasdaq Europe: AUTN), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced the expansion of its strategic reseller and OEM partnership with Corechange, Inc., a global provider of enterprise portal framework software. For more than two years, Corechange has embedded Autonomy's technology in its Coreport enterprise portal solution to provide organizations with advanced information categorization and personalization capabilities. The recent expansion of their partnership further validates the need for their combined expertise.
Corechange delivers enterprise portal software for the deployment and management of secure, scalable intranet and extranet portals. The company's flagship product, Coreport, enables businesses to provide users with a secure point of unified and personalized access to all types of content, applications, processes, and services from any wired or wireless device. By using Autonomy's technology, Corechange offers enterprises advanced retrieval capabilities that automatically deliver relevant information to employees to help them do their jobs more successfully. The new expansion of the Corechange partnership will allow Corechange to utilize the newest version of Autonomy's Dynamic Reasoning Engine.
"Autonomy's infrastructure technology is an integral component of our portal solution because it enables us to design portals that deliver only the most relevant information," said Charles Kane, president and CEO, Corechange. "Corechange and Autonomy give each employee personalized and complete access to the information, tools and resources they need to do their job. The ability to process unstructured information within a portal is key to keeping research time down and strategic business information readily available."
"Coreport has been a valuable OEM and channel partner for more than two years," said Richard Gaunt, co-founder and CTO. "Corechange's enterprise implementations highlight the strength of Autonomy's capabilities and demonstrate how employees can benefit from efficient, targeted and automatic information management."
Autonomy's unique intelligent data operating layer (IDOL) integrates unstructured, semi-structured and structured information from multiple repositories through an understanding of the content. At the heart of Autonomy's software is its ability to analyze text and voice and identify and rank the main concepts within it. It then automatically categorizes, links, personalizes and delivers that information. Autonomy's infrastructure technology is used to automate operations within enterprise information portals, customer relationship management, knowledge management, business intelligence and e-business applications, among others.
