Virage Offers Free Online Seminar About Enterprise Webcasting
SAN MATEO, Calif. - September 23, 2002 - Virage, Inc [NASDAQ: VRGE] a leading provider of video and rich media communication software, announced that the Company will host a free online seminar about its latest software release, VS Webcasting™ 2.0. Announced this month and shipping to customers today, VS Webcasting is the industry's first comprehensive enterprise-scale application that allows organizations to produce live, rebroadcast, and on-demand webcasts in-house. Virage has teamed with Intel [NASDAQ: INTC] to host this free webcast on September 26th at 9:30 a.m. PT (12:30 p.m. ET).
The seminar is aimed at corporations, educational institutions and government agencies that are seeking to improve their use of streaming media for corporate communications, training and learning. Bob Teree, product manager for VS Webcasting, will host the presentation. He will provide an overview of the Virage webcasting application and will demonstrate how organizations can plan, produce and deliver live, rebroadcast, and on-demand webcasts for significant cost-savings and improved access to information. The event will be presented using VS Webcasting software and will highlight product features, such as live audience Q&A, polling, advanced reporting modules, synchronized slides, and integrated multimedia.
