Cardiff TELEform™ to Drive Efficiencies and Customer Retention for Vodafone Group

World's largest mobile telecommunications company to improve processing and management of application forms for customer retention program

Brentford, England - 2002-06-26 - Cardiff Software Ltd., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced that Vodafone has selected the Cardiff TELEform™ information capture solution to automate the electronic processing of application forms for its customer retention program. This eForms solution will be implemented at Vodafone's Portugal offices by Cardiff Reseller eMethodus, a leading Portuguese eBusiness system integrator.

Vodafone will use Cardiff TELEform to automate the data entry of application forms for Clube Viva, its monthly promotional customer retention program. Additionally, the new system will improve the handling and response of customer enquiries by enabling employees to dynamically manage and retrieve forms via a standard Web browser. TELEform will significantly reduce costs by eliminating the manual data entry of forms and by exponentially increasing the daily number of forms processed. Based on prior Cardiff TELEform implementations, Vodafone expects to cut processing costs by 80 percent and increase the number of forms processed from 1,500 a day to 5,000 every three hours.

"Cardiff's success in the Portuguese market is a direct result of its ability to generate a real return on investment for organizations like Vodafone that serve millions of customers," said Maria ConsuÍlo Ribeiro Cascais, IDMS & Workflow Director at eMethodus. "In the end, our customers are looking for results, and that is exactly what the TELEform solution delivers."

"By automating the process of collecting, verifying and exporting information from our ëClube Viva' forms, TELEform will enable us to increase productivity by more than 1,500 percent," said Nuno Almeida e Silva, IT Manager at Vodafone Telecel. "Handling customer enquiries quickly and efficiently is essential to our continued success, and by selecting the Cardiff TELEform solution we can easily raise our level of service and simultaneously reduce our costs."
