Cardiff Ships LiquidPDF™ v2.5; Organizations Can Now Distribute Personalized PDF Documents Internationally, Using Native Language
Open standards of LiquidPDF, including support for international and multi-byte text personalized document applications, enables organizations to extend their global reach
San Diego - 2002-06-10 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced the immediate availability of LiquidPDF v2.5, the latest release of its award-winning document assembly and personalization solution. Key new capabilities of LiquidPDF v2.5 (formerly AudienceOne) include support for international and multi-byte text in personalized document applications, which enable organizations to distribute documents internationally to anyone, anywhere, through native language recognition.
The latest LiquidPDF release allows enterprise programs to control document assembly and the insertion of variable text data from any font into a PDF document, allowing organizations to seamlessly respond to a client's request with documents in their native language. For example an organization located in New York City can now send personalized PDF forms to a customer, partner or satellite office in Asia, which will be received in that particular countries native language, such as Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese and so forth.
The new and enhanced features and functionality of LiquidPDF v2.5 are ideal for commercial and government customers distributing business documents, loan kits, sales proposals, contracts and marketing collateral.
"LiquidPDF breaks down the barriers that have prevented or curtailed organizations from timely distribution of documents to customers or prospects overseas," said Dan Shirra, Cardiff's vice president of worldwide marketing. LiquidPDF v2.5 supports a wide range of text data encoding types, including SJIS, UTF-8, UTF-16, Unicode and WinAnsi. Variable text support is included for Acrobat Base 14 and Asian Font Support Pack fonts, as well as fonts conforming to Type 1, TrueType or OpenType font specifications. Support for Character Mappings (CMaps), including the Identity CMap, also enable complete control of the rendered text, while additional CMaps can be added at any time.
Other key features of LiquidPDF v2.5 include support for most input/output encodings and character maps; the ability to add character maps at any time; extended interfaces for streaming job ticket information; Java API for the LiquidPDF Extractor module; and improvements to preview and supervisor administrator modules.
