Cardiff Joins Sun Microsystems Developer Connection Program; LiquidOffice Supports Sun™ Open Net Environment (Sun ONE)
Cardiff leverages open standards to deliver best-in-class functionality, enabling enterprise customers to rapidly deploy sophisticated business applications
San Diego - 2002-05-28 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leader in XML-based enterprise business and process-automation solutions, today announced it has joined the Sun Developer ConnectionSM Partner Program. Through its support as a Basic member for the Sun Open Net Environment (Sun ONE), Cardiff will leverage its LiquidOffice eForms Management System and open standards approach to deliver best-in-class business process automation functionality for enterprise customers to seek who rapidly deploy sophisticated business applications.
Sun ONE is Sun's standards-based software, architecture and platform for building and deploying services on demand, based on open industry standards to avoid vendor lock-in. Its design is highly scalable and supports major standards initiatives such as SOAP, the Java™ 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE™) architecture, UDDI, LDAP and ebXML.
The LiquidOffice eForms Management System uses XML, HTML, PDF and Java technology standards to automate internal forms and business processes for corporate and government customers, delivering significant cost savings, efficiencies and productivity gains far beyond those commonly associated with automated forms solutions.
The LiquidOffice eForm Management System is based upon the J2EE framework, which allows delivery on the Solaris™ Operating Environment and WINTEL systems. LiquidOffice is comprised of a large set of Java servlet extensions, which provide automated services for eForms publishing, submission, routing, approval and tracking. Because of the open nature of the J2EE framework, LiquidOffice can integrate with other office automation products based on multiple programming languages. It can also be used with a wide range of Web application servers, including the Sun ONE Application Server.
"As an industry-dominant platform for Web-enabled applications, the Sun platform was the natural choice as Cardiff's premier target for LiquidOffice certification," said Mark Seamans, Cardiff's vice president of technology and chief technology officer. "Like Sun, Cardiff highly values the ability to leverage open standards to deliver best-in-class functionality. Our membership in the Sun Developer Connection Program will help our enterprise customers leverage the LiquidOffice on Sun solution to deliver significant business process acceleration."
