Cardiff LiquidOffice™ eForm Management System Selected by County of Santa Clara to Automate Forms and Business Processes

Flexibility and easy integration with BEA and Vignette among deciding factors; LiquidOffice routes, tracks and processes forms via Web-based management system

San Diego - 2002-04-29 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leading global provider of business process-automation solutions, today announced that its LiquidOffice eForm Management System has been selected by the County of Santa Clara (California) to automate form-driven processes. The system will give county employees and residents anytime access to all government forms using standard Web browsers.

The LiquidOffice system also gives the county the ability to easily publish interactive forms online, including payroll, timesheets, procurements, employee evaluations, grant applications, unemployment claims, permit requests and fee payments. With support for intelligent routing, tracking and secure digital approval, entire processes can now be handled completely online.

Once implemented, county personnel can use Internet-based electronic forms management software to design and publish a variety of forms, internal and public facing. Interactive electronic forms give citizens the ability to easily transact business with the state on their own time. These forms will then be accessed, completed, submitted, reviewed, routed, approved and stored through a Web browser, saving the county and taxpayers time and money.

"Government organizations are recognizing that implementing a LiquidOffice eForm Management System is an important step toward bringing e-Government to their community," said Dan Shirra, Cardiff's vice president of worldwide marketing. "Easy integration and data flow between LiquidOffice and line-of-business applications allows agencies to get the most out of their existing systems."

LiquidOffice helps government organizations meet mandates dictated within the Government Paperwork Elimination Act, the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which all require eForm technology. LiquidOffice offers easy- to-use tools for designing, deploying and automatically managing the routing, tracking and review of forms and documents electronically.

The scalability and high-performance of LiquidOffice provides organizations a solid foundation for automating all their business-critical processes. Cardiff's open systems approach also allows them to take advantage of new technologies while continuing to use their existing systems, rather than locking them into a single source.

LiquidOffice includes a point-and-click Form Designer to quickly create new forms or to convert existing forms into automated HTML or PDF forms. Also included is the LiquidOffice Form Server, which provides sophisticated server-based form automation capabilities, including:

• XML form description and revision control

• Publishing Agents for HTML and PDF eForm presentation

• Auto-form-fill from database and auto-fill from user profile

• Dynamic pull-down and menu selections from database query

• Automated server-based data validation

• Business rules-based data processing

• Support for attachment and archive integration

• XML, open database connectivity and Java™ database connectivity export connect agents

Benefits experienced by organizations migrating to the Cardiff LiquidOffice eForm Management System include streamlining internal operational processes; accelerating delivery of data and documents to backend systems; reducing administrative costs; and eliminating data errors with business rules processing.
