Cardiff's LiquidOffice eForm Management System Selected As Finalist For eWEEK eXcellence Awards
Latest honor for LiquidOffice further demonstrates continued move toward more productive, paperless environment and open standards
San Diego - 2002-02-13 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leader in XML-based enterprise business and process-automation solutions, today announced that eWEEK analysts and corporate partners have selected its LiquidOffice™ v2.0 solution as a finalist for the magazine's eXcellence Awards. The awards, now in their second year, honor the best enterprise, e-business products introduced in 2001 that enhance productivity, performance and provide a competitive edge.
Winner of three other industry awards, LiquidOffice is an XML-based "paperless" system that enables organizations to publish, route, track, approve, sign, and process online forms and documents. LiquidOffice enables organizations to fully leverage their existing Web infrastructure using XML, HTML and PDF standards to migrate a wide range of manual business processes to automated online processes, enabling organizations to save from $30-$150 on every form throughout the enterprise.
Unlike client-server products that require proprietary plug-ins and Java filler applets for form presentation, LiquidOffice uses universally accepted Web clients for form fill and routing. LiquidOffice also adds automated data validation, attachments and workflow capabilities to public-and citizen-facing HTML and PDF forms.

Last year alone, LiquidOffice received honors as a "Best of Show" finalist at Internet World; "Best of AIIM 2001;" and "Best Enterprise Software Recognition," COMDEX.
LiquidOffice v2.0 adds significant capabilities to the eForm system. XML Virtual Submit uses a standard XML schema to connect LiquidOffice eForm workflows and form attachments with virtually any external application. The applications include using mobile devices for remote data collection and to initiate eForm workflow submissions. XML Virtual Submit allows organizations to use LiquidOffice as their eForm framework for internal, Web-based and remote forms applications.
Another key feature of LiquidOffice v2.0 is the HTML Publishing Agent™, which adds support for workflow-enabled HTML eForms. With this new feature, forms created in the LiquidOffice Form Designer can be published into the LiquidOffice Form Server as either PDF, HTML forms. The HTML Publishing Agent eliminates the need for any additional downloads or plug-ins when delivering eForm applications, including when attachments are required.
LiquidOffice v2.0 also offers seamless enterprise user management through integration with lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) systems, including Microsoft Active Directory Services, Netscape iPlanet Directory Server and Microsoft Exchange Server.
