Quickstream and Dralasoft Announce Strategic Partnership
The Collaboration Provides Best-of-Breed Integrated Applications
Colorado Springs, CO - 2002-01-08 - Quickstream Software and Dralasoft have partnered to integrate the Quickstream e-Content Management Platform with the Dralasoft Workflow Engine. Under the terms of this agreement, the partnership will enable the development of the industry's first fully J2EE workflow and e-Content management solution. The Beta release of the integration is slated for December 2001 with the production release expected in first quarter of 2002.
The release will feature powerful and configurable workflow augmented with complete drag and drop capabilities for approval processes and document routing. Plus, the collaboration will offer seamless business-to-business integration capabilities.
"Now there is a complete J2EE alternative to conventional workflow/document management products," said Eric Westerkamp, president of Quickstream Software. "Integrating the Dralasoft Workflow Engine with the Quickstream Platform gives our customers flexibility and high scalability even as they gain the advantages of rapid development."
Quickstream defines e-Content management as the combination of traditional document management features with new-era content management technologies like Java, J2EE, XML and HTML. Its e-Content Management Platform is a flexible Web-based application to centralize, search, control, classify (via metadata), version and track electronic business files regardless of format. Its architecture is unique, designed to enable rapid assembly of powerful custom e-Content management solutions through modifications at the JSP, XML, or API level.
The Dralasoft Workflow Engine is an embeddable Java component for automating business processes. At its core is a robust, multi-threaded engine that can handle thousands of workflows simultaneously. It includes a programming framework to allow an application to define custom workflows that can consist of automated and non-automated tasks and Dralasoft Workflow Studio, a visual environment for capturing business processes as workflows.
