Michael D. Mooney Named Vice President, North American Sales & Business Development; Hugo L. Sluimer Named Vice President, International Sales & European Operations
Sunnyvale, CA - 2001-11-13 - Verity, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of infrastructure software that powers enter-prise and e-commerce portals as well as e-business applications, today announced a new leadership team for its worldwide sales organization.
Michael D. Mooney was promoted to Vice President, North American Sales and Business Development. In this position, Mooney is responsible for all of Verity's North American sales activities, including direct, OEM and reseller channel sales, and he is responsible for the company's Business Development activities on a world-wide basis. Mooney was previously Vice President, Business Development and OEM Sales.
Hugo L. Sluimer was promoted to Vice President, International Sales & European Operations. In this position, Sluimer is responsible for Verity's sales activities in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America, as well as all of the company's operations in Europe. Sluimer was previously Vice President, European Operations.
In making these executive appointments, Anthony J. Bettencourt, Verity's President, said "Mike Mooney brings to his new position creativity, performance and an excellent track record extending our leadership position in the OEM marketplace.
