Cardiff Announces LiquidOffice for FileNET Panagon

Enables organizations to deploy and use automated online forms via standard Web browsers, Adobe® Acrobat®, Approval, and Reader™

Brentford, Middlesex - 2001-10-22 - Cardiff Ltd., a leader in XML-based business and process automation solutions, today announced Cardiff LiquidOffice™ for FileNET Corporation's Panagon™ product suite. The new product integrates Cardiff's award-winning LiquidOffice eForm Management System with FileNET's Panagon enterprise content management (ECM) platform, resulting in workflow-enabled HTML and Adobe PDF eForms.

LiquidOffice combines intelligent HTML and Adobe PDF eForms with Panagon eProcess Services to allow organizations to automatically route, approve and process online forms. When compared to manual forms processing, LiquidOffice with Panagon can save organizations up to $150 for every form used within the organization - by every worker, every day.

"Cardiff has been a long-time ValueNET® partner with its market-leading TELEform® Information Capture System," said Michael W. Harris, senior vice president, Products & Strategy at FileNET. "We are pleased to be working with Cardiff to ensure the tight integration of LiquidOffice with Panagon, and we are impressed with its innovative approach in using HTML and Adobe PDF standards for Web-based form automation within eProcess."

Example applications using LiquidOffice with Panagon include automating the use and processing of worker-facing forms for human resources, operations, IT and engineering applications. Public and citizen-facing forms can also be automatically collected and processed with the combined solution, helping agencies meet requirements defined by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Government Paper Elimination Act mandates while better serving the citizenry.

LiquidOffice includes a point-and-click form designer, which is used to create new forms or to convert existing forms into automated HTML or Adobe PDF forms. Also included is the LiquidOffice Form Server, which provides sophisticated server-based form automation capabilities, including:

• XML form description and revision control

• Publishing Agents for HTML and Adobe PDF eForm presentation

• Auto-form-fill from database and auto-fill from user profile

• Dynamic pull-down and menu selections from database query

• Automated server-based data validation

• Business rules-based data processing

• Complete integration with Panagon eProcess Services

• Complete automated attachment and archive integration with Panagon Content Services

• XML, open database connectivity (OBDC), and JavaTM database connectivity (JDBC) export connect agents

• Adobe PDF and index form archive

LiquidOffice uses a XML Web services architecture that mirrors Microsoft® .NET and the SunTM Open Network Environment (ONE) to deliver intelligent eForms to internal and public Internet users. This approach allows LiquidOffice to eliminate the need to license and install ActiveXTM or Java applet eForm plug-in applications - called "fillers" - on every worker or user desktop. By using open standards, LiquidOffice significantly reduces the cost of acquisition, deployment and ownership of eForm systems when compared to historical filler approaches.

Pricing and Availability

LiquidOffice for Panagon will ship in 2002 with pricing starting at $15,000. The LiquidOffice eForm Management System is available now from Cardiff and its Certified Reseller Partner community, with pricing starting at $15,000. For more information, visit www.Cardiff.com/LiquidOffice.
