Adobe Acrobat Approval 5.0 is a new desktop application designed to enable the cost-effective deployment of Adobe portable document format (PDF) forms throughout the enterprise.
LiquidOffice provides robust Web services for the publishing, routing, approval, and processing of online forms using XML, HTML and Adobe PDF standards. The new Acrobat Approval 5.0 application provides key capabilities for workers who need to fill in, spell check, save, digitally sign, and submit online forms using the LiquidOffice system. The combination of LiquidOffice on the server and Acrobat Approval 5.0 on workers' desktops results in a complete paperless forms system that can save up to $150 for every form used within an organization.
Key features available with Acrobat Approval 5.0 include support for more than 10 electronic signature technologies from vendors such as CIC®, Entrust®, Interlink Electronics and VeriSign®, as well as Adobe self-sign capabilities. In addition, Acrobat Approval 5.0 enables users to save partially completed forms locally for offline work, and allows for submission of forms using standard Web browsers and e-mail clients.

The availability of Acrobat Approval 5.0 and LiquidOffice is beneficial for U.S. federal government agencies, which are facing mandated eForm deadlines dictated within the Government Paperwork Elimination Act, the Electronic Signatures In Global And National Commerce Act, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
