Cardiff Software Ships LiquidOfficeTM eForm Management System v1.0; Significant Initial Orders from Corporate and Government Customers
State of North Dakota and four agencies in California among first to adopt open-systems approach to automating internal and Internet-based eForms
San Diego - 2001-06-25 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leader in forms processing and eBusiness automation solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the LiquidOffice eForm Management System. LiquidOffice is a turnkey, XML-based solution that leverages the popular Adobe® portable document format (PDF) to route, approve, submit, and sign online forms using standard Web clients.
LiquidOffice is the result of an eForm Alliance formed by Cardiff Software and Adobe Systems (NASDAQ: ADBE), which was announced March 12, 2001. With LiquidOffice and Adobe Acrobat® 5.0 organizations now have a standards-based solution for automating internal, public-facing and citizen-facing forms and processes.

Initial government customers include the North Dakota State Tax Department, the North Dakota State IT Department, the State of California Department of General Services, the State of California DGS Office of Technology Resources, the State of California DGS Office of Legal Services, and the State of California DGS Procurement Division.

LiquidOffice plays an important role in eGovernment initiatives by providing a single platform for automating internal and public "citizen-facing" forms processes. The system also speeds adherence to various mandates, including the Government Paper Elimination Act, the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and Section 508 Accessibility.
Organizations using LiquidOffice eForms can save from $30 to $150 per form transaction when compared to paper forms processes. LiquidOffice leapfrogs pre-Internet eForm products, eliminating the maintenance and expense associated with thick-client, ActiveX- or JavaTM-based "Filler" plug-ins. Instead, LiquidOffice uses a combination of Web, XML, Adobe PDF, and HTML standards to deliver a centralized eForm repository and advanced services for routing, tracking, approval, and processing.

The LiquidOffice eForm Management System is comprised of the LiquidOffice Form Designer, which empowers office workers and form owners with the ability to create and publish online forms right from their desktop; the LiquidOffice Form Server, for centralized routing, processing and administration of online forms; and the LiquidOffice Web Desktop, which distributes automated forms capabilities to the global worker community through standard Web desktop applications.
The LiquidOffice eForm Management System is available immediately in three configurations: LiquidOffice Workgroup (PC/Sun Solaris), which supports 100 maximum login accounts and is priced at $15,000; LiquidOffice Enterprise (PC/Sun Solaris), a scalable system with pricing starting at $45,000; and LiquidOffice eGovernment (PC/Sun Solaris), a scalable system that also supports the automation of Internet/public eForms, with pricing starting at $55,000.
LiquidOffice Form Designer for Microsoft WindowsTM is available immediately for $1,000 per seat with volume discounts. A free download of the LiquidOffice Form Designer Trial Edition (TE) is available now at www.Cardiff.com/LiquidOffice. In an earlier announcement Adobe Systems revealed an eForm Alliance with Cardiff, and that the LiquidOffice Form Designer Trial Edition is included with English versions of Adobe Acrobat 5.0 for Microsoft Windows.
