Web-Based Data Verification and Document Indexing Made Possible With Cardiff TELEform® Enterprise

New TELEform Distributed Verification Module Leverages Citrix® MetaFrame™ Standard

San Diego - 2001-04-30 - Cardiff Software Inc., a leader in forms processing and eBusiness automation solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the Distributed Verification Module for TELEform® Enterprise. The new product enables users to distribute data verification and document indexing tasks to remote workers using standard Web browsers and the Citrix® MetaFrame™ environment.

Cardiff TELEform is used to automate the processing of paper forms and documents. The product uses advanced TRI-CR recognition technology to convert handprint, checkmarks, barcodes, and paper-based data into digital information, and then applies business rules to clean and process the data into database, XML, archive and back office applications. In cases where handprint is too poor to be automatically processed, or where business rules criteria is not met, the form is presented to a "verification operator" for human review. Using the TELEform system, organizations can reduce data entry tasks by 90 percent or more.

"Cardiff's implementation of distributed verification through Citrix MetaFrame shows how organizations can leverage existing Internet investments to improve business processes and save money," said Larry Ritter, director of product management for MetaFrame application servers for Citrix. "The combination of MetaFrame and TELEform delivers automated document processing and server-based performance and reliability from a range of clients."

Distributed verification enables organizations to virtually eliminate the need to hire and house local data entry teams. Organizations can now hire remote workers anywhere in the world, using secure Internet connections to distribute work and receive verified data.

"Cardiff is providing an important new capability to service bureaus and large organizations by supporting Web-based data verification and indexing," said Devin Cox, FutureVision Technologies' (www.fvtech.com) vice president of marketing. "With the Distributed Verification Module we can maintain centralized control and management of our capture applications, yet reduce our staffing costs by using more affordable at-home and overseas verification operators."

Pricing and Availability

The TELEform Distributed Verification Module is $10,000 and enables TELEform Enterprise Verifiers to be used with Citrix MetaFrame. The product is available immediately from Cardiff and its team of reseller and implementation partners. More information on Cardiff's products is available online at www.Cardiff.com.
