Cardiff Nominated for Prestigious ëVenture Capital Success Story Award' By The San Diego Venture Group

San Diego - 2001-01-16 - Cardiff Software, Inc., a leading supplier of eTransaction and business automation solutions, has been nominated to receive the "Venture Capital Success Story Award" from the San Diego Venture Group. In its sixth year, the award is reserved for a company in San Diego County who has achieved tremendous success in the past year.

"The Venture Capital Success Story Award recognizes San Diego companies who have had a stellar year and made the local history books," said Heather Milne, executive director of the San Diego Venture Group. "Cardiff's nomination recognizes their rapid sales growth and growing success as a San Diego-based company that we can be proud of."

Cardiff received a nomination based upon a number of successes in 2000. First, Cardiff received a number of prestigious awards for its eTransaction products, which allow organizations to automate a wide range of business processes. These awards include "Product of the Year" honors from a panel of 13 industry leaders and editors of Imaging & Document Solutions magazine, and the "Information Management 2000 Award," delivered at the Common Wealth Institute in Kensington, London.

Second, in FY2000 Cardiff continued to grow at a record pace and received the Deloitte & Touche "Fast 50" award for the third consecutive year. Finally, Cardiff's success attracted significantly larger organizations, with Adobe Ventures, HarbourVest Partners and DICOM Group Plc. making investments in the company in Year 2000.

"We are pleased to be one of the select companies in San Diego to be nominated by the San Diego Venture Group for 2000," said Dennis Clerke, co-founder, president and CEO of privately-held Cardiff. "Cardiff possesses a unique blend of dedicated people, technological leadership, and demonstrated financial performance that has attracted the attention of the venture community."

The San Diego Venture Group is a non-profit organization designed to bring together the people in San Diego who are interested in new enterprise and the process of creating it. The "Venture Capital Success Story Award" finalists will be announced at a gala on February 15, 2001 at the Hyatt Aventine in La Jolla, California.
