Verity and HP Announce Worldwide Alliance to Complement HP E-services Offerings
SUNNYVALE and PALO ALTO, CA. - 2000-11-06 - Verity, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRTY), a leading provider of infrastructure software that powers enterprise and e-commerce portals as well as e-business applications, and Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HWP) today announced an alliance to complement HP's Enterprise Commerce (EC) and Enterprise Business Portal (EBP) solutions. The alliance calls for the tight integration of the Verity K2 Toolkit with HP's enterprise solutions, and includes a co-marketing relationship and a reseller agreement, providing HP the capability for reselling Verity's entire product line to its worldwide customer base.
As part of the EBP solution, Verity's leading business portal technology provides search capabilities for corporate, e-commerce and market exchange portal customers. The Verity K2 Toolkit also delivers highly scalable and precise advanced search capabilities to HP's EC platform. In support of the alliance, Verity has trained HP's consulting worldwide on K2 and its advanced search capabilities.
