Autonomy Wins European Award

London, England, 29 September 2000, Autonomy Corporation plc (AUTN), the UK based provider of Knowledge Management and New Media Technology products, last night received an award for Best Share Price Performance for an EASDAQ listed company. Dr. Mike Lynch, founder and CEO, accepted the award at a ceremony organized by the European Association of Securities Dealers (EASD).
Five awards were given to EASDAQ companies and market participants at the inaugural Investor Relations dinner. Herzog Heine Geduld, the global market maker, was lead sponsor of the event. Beeson Gregory, BNP Paribas, Hoodless Brennan, Investis and the Trans European Law Firms Alliance (TELFA) sponsored individual awards at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
- The award received by Autonomy was calculated on the best share price performance from an EASDAQ listed company over the twelve month period to 30 June 2000. During this period the share price rose from $1.93 to $41.00, an increase of 2024%. Beeson Gregory, the London based investment bank specialising in European growth companies, sponsored the award.
- The award for fastest growing EASDAQ company, evaluated a variety of factors including fastest revenue growth during a company's last published full year accounts, was awarded to the French technology company Swan, a provider of online business infrastructure management solutions. Hoodless Brennan, the corporate finance and retail brokerage house, sponsored the award.
- Most active EASDAQ sponsor, determined by the monies raised from involvement in IPO's on EASDAQ, was awarded to CAIB, the Austrian investment bank specialising in Central and Eastern European regions. BNP Paribas, the major international banking institution, sponsored the award.
- TelDaFax, the telecommunications provider based in Germany was the winner of the Best Investor Relations Web Site for an EASDAQ listed company. Investis, the provider of on-line investor relations services, sponsored the award.
- The award for Most Active EASDAQ Advisor, given to the professional advisory firm who has been judged to be the most active in terms of supporting EASDAQ listed companies at IPO, was presented to KPMG, the global provider of consulting and financial advisory services. TELFA, the alliance of leading independent European law firms, sponsored the award.
Andrew Beeson, Chairman of EASD, commenting on the awards said:
