Cardiff Ships AutoMerge Publisher; Automates the Creation & Delivery of Forms and eReply Documents Using eMail, Fax and Adobe ePaper

Unique solution allows organizations to implement complete eBusiness and eGovernment solutions; Applications result in membership cards; Permit process now fully online

San Diego - 2000-09-25 - Cardiff Software, Inc. today shipped AutoMerge Publisher, a new product that automates the creation and delivery of personalized, pre-filled eForms and eReply documents.

AutoMerge Publisher (AMP) is a new add-on to Cardiff TELEform, used by more than 20,000 organizations worldwide to automate the processing of paper and eForms. Where TELEform collects, cleans and processes incoming data, AutoMerge Publisher automates the delivery of pre-filled forms, and can automate the ënext step' by delivering personalized response documents, including invoices, membership cards, permits and confirmations.

"AutoMerge Publisher is the next step in our eTransaction strategy of automating every part of the business process," said Dennis Clerke, co-founder, President and CEO of Cardiff. "By combining the quality of paper with the efficiency of email and the Web, we are empowering a wide range of highly valuable delivery and response applications."

AutoMerge Publisher merges data with form templates to deliver personalized pre-filled forms using print, fax, email and Adobe PDF. Within form merge applications, AutoMerge Publisher can pre-fill portions of a form with name, company and known contact information, while leaving the unknown form questions blank. Pre-filled forms are created via an automated batch process and sent by the thousands over email as standard Adobe PDF attachments. Users can complete and submit these forms online or can print and fax the completed form into the TELEform system for automated processing.

Another application of AutoMerge Publisher is the creation of Personalized eReply documents, including creating high-quality invoices and purchase orders from raw data or creating and delivering personalized coupons, membership cards, preferred customer offers and certificates over the Web. Personalized eReply documents are ideal for opt-in email marketing campaigns, as variable customer information and graphics can be added on a per-email basis automatically.

1-2-3 AutoMerge

Implementing an AutoMerge Publisher application is an easy process. The point-and-click Form Designer creates a form-merge document template. The template can be multiple pages, and the system supports the insertion of both variable data, text, barcodes and graphics. Next, the merge and business rules are applied to the project, connecting the template with data from nearly any data source, including paper forms, eForms, XML data streams, ODBC databases and ERP applications. Finally, the designer selects the publishing target of print, fax, email or Adobe PDF and executes the AutoMerge.

"AutoMerge Publisher fits perfectly with the strategy behind Adobe ePaper Solutions," said Monika Kessling, Marketing Manager for Adobe ePaper Solutions. "AMP leverages Acrobat Forms through automated delivery and online submission, and takes advantage of the high-fidelity of Adobe PDF. Cardiff continues to be a strong partner in putting Adobe ePaper to work."

Pricing and Availability

AutoMerge Publisher is available immediately and is a $5,000 add-on to Cardiff TELEform, which starts at $2,500. Existing TELEform users will receive a free copy of AutoMerge Publisher by upgrading to TELEform v7 by September 30, 2000. Please visit www.Cardiff.com or call 760.936.4500 for more details.
