Radnet®, Inc. and Verity Join Forces to Develop Complete B2B Portal Solution to Better Serve Participants Engaged in Complex Selling Processes

Verity's Powerful Search and Navigation Capabilities, with Delivery of Highly Personalized Information, Enable Users to Collaborate More Efficiently, Strengthen Key Relationships and Conduct Effective Transactions Online

WAKEFIELD, MA and SUNNYVALE, Calif., - 2000-09-19 - Radnet, Inc., the B2B collaboration company, and Verity, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRTY), a leading provider of infrastructure software that powers enterprise and e-commerce portals as well as e-business applications, today announced that they have teamed to jointly develop and enhance Radnet's B2B portal solution, PortalworkX™, for collaborative selling environments. This partnership will integrate Verity's award-winning portal infrastructure technologies, including the Verity K2 ToolkitTM and Verity Agent technology, into Radnet's innovative collaborative framework, PortalWorkX. PortalworkX is designed to create Internet solutions that securely link product providers, their selling partners, and customers from multiple organizations, delivering extensive functionality to drive both ad hoc and standard B2B process management, including a fully functional workflow environment.

The newly combined offering enables Radnet to provide PortalworkX customers with an out-of-the-box capability to search all content within the PortalworkX system and to allow enterprise-wide search from within the PortalworkX interface. Radnet's implementation of Verity's advanced search, navigation and viewing capabilities enables users to create personal agents to monitor topics of interest. In addition, Verity's industry-leading technology was developed to produce the most relevant search results and compatibility with the broadest range of data repositories and file types. This will allow participants engaged in complex sales processes to work more effectively together, and help to accelerate and strengthen key business relationships.

Verity K2 Toolkit integrates disparate databases into a common data structure, enabling scalable and high-performance searching, navigating, and viewing of documents. Verity Agent technology actively monitors key business information sources across the Internet and intranet and automatically filters and delivers highly personalized information to individuals and groups based on their content and delivery preferences. Verity Agent Server also enables advanced capabilities within PortalworkX, where users can save search results and receive notification from the system whenever new information is updated.

"We believe that Verity has the best knowledge retrieval and portal infrastructure technologies in the market," said George Eberstadt, vice president of product management and product marketing for Radnet, Inc. "Verity's vision of managing information overload aligns perfectly with our vision of streamlining collaborative business processes, enabling efficient and effective cooperative work between people from multiple organizations. Aside from providing quick, easy, and accurate access to large amounts of content, Verity's technology enables our users to create and save search results for future use. When information relating to the saved search criteria is added or changed, users are automatically notified of the updates rather than having to perform repeated searches."

"The founders of Radnet have decades of experience in collaborative business processes and how to best use information in a complex selling environment. PortalworkX™ is the next evolutionary step in how companies can use the Web to support rich pre- and post-sales business processes and communications between product providers, distribution partners and end-user customers," said Mike Zuckerman, vice president of marketing for Verity. "We're extremely pleased that Radnet has selected our technology to help the e-communities find the information they need quickly and easily."

Radnet's PortalworkX: Accelerates the collaboration that get complex work done.

Radnet's PortalworkX is an innovative software framework for creating Web sites that link product providers, their selling partners and customers in ways that enable them to work more effectively together, strengthen key relationships, and increase sales.

PortalworkX is a complementor to many of the major B2B web technologies in the market:

▪ B2B e-commerce: Radnet adds sophisticated collaborative functionality to the transaction engines that are the underpinnings of many "dot-com" initiatives.

▪ Corporate Portals: Radnet bridges myriad enterprises and relationship partners to help facilitate complex deals and processes, while corporate portals tend to be inwardly focused.

▪ Internet Content Management: Radnet leverages "best-in-class" content management as just one piece of its comprehensive B2B solution.

▪ Customer Relationship Management: Radnet is much more outwardly focused than most CRM vendors, and can help take such initiatives and legacy systems to the next level.

Key features of PortalworkX include its "best-in-class" many-to-many permissioning and collaborative capabilities, and extensive functionality to drive both ad hoc and standard B2B process management, including a fully functional workflow environment.
