Cardiff Named 'Fast 50' Company By Deloitte & Touche LLP
Annual award honors Cardiff for third consecutive year
San Diego - 2000-08-09 - Cardiff Software, Inc. today announced that it has been named a "Technology Fast 50" company for the third year in a row by Deloitte & Touche LLP, a top-tier financial and professional services firm. Cardiff joins a premier list of high-growth companies that include Qualcomm, Peregrine, and I-Flow who will receive their award on September 25, 2000.
The Orange County/San Diego Fast 50 is an annual awards program that recognizes the fastest growing technology companies in Southern California's Orange and San Diego counties. Deloitte & Touche audits revenue growth of private and public companies over the previous five years, making Cardiff's three-year achievement especially notable. The ranking also includes companies from all segments of technology, from biotech to computers, so it provides an exciting snapshot of the industries that are driving the world economy today.
"We see the 'Fast 50' as an important benchmark that shows we are executing on both our product and growth plan, " said Dennis Clerke, co-founder, President and CEO of Cardiff. "In 1998 and 1999 our growth was driven through delivering Internet solutions that allowed organizations to move business processes online. In 2000 our continued growth has been sparked through more enterprise-wide adoption of our technology within Global 2000 and enterprise-level customers, and we see the curve ramping even higher for 2001."
"We at Deloitte & Touche commend Cardiff for having the vision and determination to become one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Orange County and San Diego," said James Fazio, Partner, San Diego High Technology Group for Deloitte & Touche. "Today, there are more than 22,000 high technology companies in the US, many of whom are competing for the same markets here in the states and worldwide. The Fast 50 winners for Orange County and San Diego have proven that they can compete successfully by consistently delivering technological wonders."
To be considered for Deloitte & Touche's Fast 50, entrants must be in business for a minimum of five years, must be headquartered in either Orange or San Diego County, must not be a subsidiary or division, must have 1995 revenues of at least $50,000 and 1999 revenues of $1 million or more, and must be considered a technology company. "Technology companies" are defined as companies that produce technology, manufacture a technology-related product, are technologically intensive, use technology in problem-solving, or devote a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
Deloitte & Touche determines rankings based on a detailed review of qualifying nominations related to revenue growth over the five-year period. Winners of the 19 regional Fast 50 programs are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
