Verity Expands Market Presence in Japan

Verity Signs Distributor Agreement with Toshiba Information Systems (Japan) Corporation

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - 2000-08-01 - Verity, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRTY), a leading provider of infrastructure software that powers enterprise and e-commerce portals as well as e-business applications, today announced it has signed a distributor agreement with Toshiba Information Systems (JAPAN) Corporation (TJ) under which TJ will distribute Verity solutions in the Japanese market. This partnership expands Verity's presence in Japan, which includes ongoing relationships with Omron Alphatec and NEC Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, TJ is licensed to distribute Verity's entire product suite.
